ASKY Airlines, the largest airline in West and Central Africa, is pleased to announce that
the official handover ceremony of its IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certificate was
held on 15 October 2015 in the presence of H.E. the Minister of Infrastructure and
Transport and H.E. the Minister of Trade and Promotion of the Private Sector of Togo.
The IATA Vice-President for Africa, Mr. Raphael Kuuchi handed over the IOSA certificate
to the Chairman of the Board and Founder of ASKY Airlines, Mr. Gervais Koffi Djondo, and
the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Henok Teferra. The ceremony was attended by the
Director-General of the National Civil Aviation Agency of Togo, Board members and
shareholders of ASKY Airlines, representatives of partners of the airline, the diplomatic
corps and international organizations based in Lomé.
The IOSA certification will enable the airline to start long haul operations and join IATA as
a full member. This, together with the recently completed brand new state-of –the art airport
terminal in Lomé, will further consolidate Lomé, as the preferred aviation hub for West and
Central Africa.
