The Chairman of ASKY Board of Directors Mr. Gervais Koffi Djondo was honored by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for his contribution to the development of the private sector in West Africa.
The award came during the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Economic Community of West African States, on the 17th of December 2015 in Abuja, Nigeria where Mr Gervais Koffi Djondo was presented with the ECOWAS plaque of recognition for his contribution to the growth of the private sector in West Africa, on behalf of all the Community institutions.
Mr Gervais Koffi Djondo received the plaque of recognition from the hands of ECOWAS current chairman, His Excellency Mr Macky Sall, President of Senegal, in the presence of ECOWAS Heads of States and Governments and other invited guests.
Gervais Koffi Djonder is a Togolese entrepreneur, a committed Panafrican who co-founded ECOBANK, the Panafrican multinational bank before joining the airline transport industry to create ASKY, the Panafrican Airlines with the support of regional institutions. Mr Djondo believes strongly in ‘’the power of vision’’ and he makes the promotion of unity for Africa and Africans during several decades. He has always advocates African entrepreneurship and south-south cooperation for the development of our continent.
