Everybody agrees the Katchikally crocodile pool is one of the best places in Bakau to visit. You can walk amongst the crocodiles and touch them too, and that in itself makes it an astonishing experience. An entrance fee of 50 Dalasi guarantees an amazing time.
The crocodiles are usually quite placid as they are well fed, but you can see them move around. There is also a museum which has quite interesting looking costumes worn for certain tribal ceremonies, and local instruments.
And if you’re the more social kind, you will enjoy the walk to Katchikally, through local streets while interacting with local people and getting a feel of what everyday life is like.
